Are you sure?
How much of your personal information is out there? How much are you giving away? How to the crooks get your personal information? That’s an easy question – They get it from you!
When you click on a “survey” or sign up for something “free”. Remember, when something is free, most likely YOU are the product being sold.
Try this: go to TruePeopleSearch.com – See how much of your personal information is there when you search for your name. As of January 1, 2020 you have the right to opt out of the sale of your personal information to third parties. You can request for your personal information to be blocked from being searched. You may want to consider selecting “privacy” on that web site and removing your name from the public view. Go to the “Do Not Sell My Personal Information” link in the footer of that web site. The problem is, that’s not the only such web site that has your personal information.
This tip, and many more, can be found in my new book “Guarding Against Online Identity Theft”, in print, ebook and audiobook (Audible) formats, starting at less than $4.
Próximamente se publicará una versión en español del libro.
(A Spanish version of the book will be released soon.)
